    toshiba estudio200l twain driver

I have upgraded a clien from a ricoh to a toshiba200l, the twain driver has not been able to work with his adobe acrobat program for twain scanning. I have set him up smb, he doesnt like it(hes a little under tech savy) so i need to know how to set the toshiba into his adobe acrobat. I cannot get it to recoggnize the machine, the ricoh worked fine, how is this done? through admin in the adobe pgrm? I could not find where to replace or search for, a new source...or is there a service area to turn on the twain from the machine?

How is he connected to the machine USB or via network? Does the Toshiba have the print/scan enablers installed? If not then it will not work. What is the part number on the enabler?
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

I believe if you download the whole client CD from here:

You will get the twain driver installer with that package. I could be wrong and it's pretty big so you'll have to try it on your own. But if you didn't install the Toshiba twain driver that might be where you are having the problem?
I will not give you service manuals or firmware.

yes the client1 cd has the twain driver on it but you have to select custom when the screen pops up asking for driver/typical/custom then select all the options you want then next.
However I do not think it works without the print/scan enabler installed.

I bet like you say it might not have the enabler. It definitely does not work without an enabler we have tried before print and scan. The only thing you can use is the file downloader to get your e-files. Which is -sort of- scanning but it's so tedious it's not even worth it IMO.
I will not give you service manuals or firmware.

Adobe "reader" can't create PDFs from a scanner, you need the full version for that..Can you use the TWAIN driver to import a TIFF into MS Word? This would prove the functionality of the TWAIN software at least. Emujo

ok the print scan is enabled, what i need is to disable the "box" function in e file so the machine will not go there to retrieve twain scans, i just need this machine to twain to the adobe pro 9 program, is this part of the hdd format and cant i just turn off the hdd so machine will not try to access the e file box funtion? the machine is in a very techno lacking office, i have smb all set up but thats not what they want they just want to twian scan to there program,, it works but then goes to the e file box system, i cant seem to just have it twain ?? I guess i need a looonggg usb cable LOL ,,,hahahaha

                  How are they twain scanning?
they should put the doc in the feeder then goto the computer and open adobe then import from scanner. and follow the directions from there
If they are trying to scan while at the machine then it will goto the efiling box.
