Can you set an E520 to copy to tray #2 on the MJ1027 ?

I was trying to test this finisher thats interm. giving codes for the tray 2 bin lift, I wanted to set it so that I could run a copy job to tray 2 on the finisher, and I cant find any 08 code or user code to do so is it even possible? Never run into this on a Canon or Konica-Minolta machine.....

    Thanks

I think you can do it through the web interface copier defaults under admin.
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work. ~Thomas Edison

If it's not in the web interface or you don't find the 08 code ... You might be able to select the output tray in one of the tabs on the print driver. I know on some models you can, I can't remember if this is one of them or not.
I will not give you service manuals or firmware.

That is for the print jobs, he was looking for the copy jobs and I thought there was an 08 code but I can not find it. I believe that it can be changed under the copier defaults via webpage then admin and then copier defaults. but this is a "permanent" fix as it stays until someone else does it.

Thanks for the replies guys ! Its a CB30 code , but it only does it when you are printing which of coarse uses tray #2 and it doesnt do it all the time. I wanted to be able to test it without having to constantly bother the secretary by sending print jobs lol . Since it is an intermittent code I am going back today and will replace the the tray #2 lift motor and see if the code goes away.

Have you tried going into Printer Folder >printer properties> printing preference>Paper Handling- CHOOSE TRAY> click Apply

If it is intermittent check and/or change the harness (cable tray) -99% accurate.

also check the black plastic lever under the tray if seating in the right position and activating the sensor...if lift motor didn't fix the problem (most of the time is).

This is a bad Tray Motor, seen it quite a few times. I don't think there's a way to designate printing to one tray only, but I certainly could be wrong. OC

I am catching last sentence. Is there the same problem during initialization of the machine and finisher. If Yes check flaper's activity - does it moves up and down during initialization?
I'll never ask if I didn't check user manual, service manual, parts list, BSI/TNI/TAD... web, existing threads.
