e-Studio 720, update on running slow...

I went out and replaced the Logic Board the other day, no change in output speed (still very slow).

What was weird was that the machine had been sitting unused for days before I got there, so I powered it on just to see what would happen. Well the first set of 50 copies came out pretty FAST, *(maybe about 60 pages per minute) but not the 72 its supposed to run.

As I ran the second set of 50, I noticed it starting to slow down intermittently, then down around the 20 per minute that it had been doing previously. It never JAMMED, but ran really slow, holding the paper in the machine for much longer than it should.

So, I ordered the NVRAM and that's my next step, but I'm having doubts that this chip will solve my issues.

    What say you guys??

P.S. the machine is not laboring or sounding like anything is turning too slow, nor any error codes... just FYI...

have you tried formatting the hd? doing so will erase scan and print info including the one touches, but ive seen it cure slow machines and weird problems on those machines.

I assume the paper output has slowed down, not the overall speed of the MFP...it could be HDD related, but I lean toward a toner add problem, or fusing temp issue. Try lowering the "toner bit" setting in the 08 mode, this would help determine if it just cant add enough toner to keep up. Next I would look to see if fuser values are at the defaults. None of the trays are set to "thick" are they? Emujo
