Either toner low, fuser temp issue or hard drive going bad.
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

I had this problem with this machine and just made a SRAM CLEAR.
I cant remember which is the code for this, but after i made a ram clear, the machine was ok.Also you can try to format hdd and even you cant format it you can try 06-694(restore bad sectors). If the problem is still there, try to find a new IDE hdd and just clone it from another machine(If you dont have the firmware).

There is no such an animal. This code just tests for bad sectors. It can not restore.

In addition to Mr Spock I would say to reseat memory modules.

I'll never ask if I didn't check user manual, service manual, parts list, BSI/TNI/TAD... web, existing threads.
