eStudio 230 Toner band on drum

Okay, the saga continues. Got the charge figured out. Now, we get toner build up to the point where it starts dumping on the OP side of the drum. We swapped drums, blades, and still it builds up and starts dumping. Seems like everything is snug in there.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks again!

If doctor blade is still good, pull auger completly out of channel. Toner builds up and gets hard where the auger gets smaller as it passes to the nozzle. Just one screw, an e-clip, washers and spring.

Auger is fine, pulled it out cleaned it, no build up or caked toner. Auger turns free. The toner seems to be escaping on the OP edge of the drum and creates a mess after 100 or so copies. Makes a solid line on drum as if blade is not cleaning it, it is about 1 inch wide.

It looks like the auger gear should mesh with a hub on the machine at the back, but it appears as though they do not touch, so I am thinking that something is wrong here and not turning the auger correctly therefore not pushing toner thru the auger. Am I getting close?

        Thanks

Easy to check the rotation just mark the gears with a sharpie.

The recovery blade on these should be replaced with the drum blade IMO. They tend to drop toner in my experience.

Oh and especially make sure you have the small bushing fitted around the drum at the rear. It's about the size of a ring for your finger and goes around the end of the drum with the gear. The drum will wobble and cause problems not unlike what you are describing if the bushing is not there.
I will not give you service manuals or firmware.

Do you have a part number for the bushing that goes around the drum? I think you may be on to something as there is no bushing there. The drum although goes into a shaft in the back of the machine, therefore I am not sure how it could physically wobble?

            Thanks

              Would this be the culprit?
