e2330c "Adjustment step is not correct. Readjust from Gamma-Adjustment (2)"

Anybody see this problem before? I can't run ATS adjustment. I can't run gamma adjustments in 05. Can't do 05-396 or 4719. This message appears when I try any of those adjustments. Tried formatting HDD, upgrading f/w- no change. Did 05-597 to clear gamma table- no change. Another weird thing is that you can do the calibration through the user screen, just not in 05. The copies are fine for now, but one day I'm going to need to run those codes. Any help would be much appreciated!
Why does every customer think they're the first one to ever say: "you've been here so much we should get you an office, ha, ha, ha"?

What did You do initially - copier installation, PM...? Check right procedures in service docs.

I'll never ask if I didn't check user manual, service manual, parts list, BSI/TNI/TAD... web, existing threads.

Copier is in the field. Meter: 200k. Had an image quality "Call For Service." Replaced black process unit and was unable to run ATS. Put old unit back- same problem, so I tried what I mentioned above.

There is an 08 code which is set to 0/1 to put the copier into the initial setup mode. I bet yours is still in that initial setup mode and is expecting you to complete the initial setup. Try finding the code or doing 70-fax 1008 (which is gamma step 2.)
I will not give you service manuals or firmware.

Do you mean: "Line Adjustment Mode"? That would also turn off the meter. I know that code is set properly. If I do 70 fax and then 1008- I get that message. I can't do any gamma adjustments or ATS or calibrations in 05.

What was this call for service? Can You printout last service codes - 9+Start - 106/107 or save to csv and provide this info?

check out code 9047 easy setup. 1 disables, 2 returns to unpacking mode. 0 isn't really clear what it does. i think 2 should mean "machine has been setup" in my mind anyway.

I agree with the above posters, the MFP thinks it's new and during the initial setup, you must to the steps exactly as outlined or you will get this message. Try following the setup instructions just for this instance. Emujo
