    Toshiba e studio 3500c can't receive faxes

    HELLO EVERYONE,,, ALMOST FRIDAY!
Today my day has been messed up by a Toshiba E Studio 3500C, I can send faxes bur for some reason it doesn't want to receive them, when they attempt to send me a fax it shows "communication error" and it never makes it to the Toshiba 3500c.
Any Idea of what might be causing this? Is there any setting that is blocking the faxes?
    Recently HDD was reseted...
Any idea will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,

Wonder if the machine has incomplete fax to email set up? I would try is a different fax in the same line to narrow it down first. Also do a line folds test to make sure the line isnt too dirty.

more often than not, there is a phone line issue. i carry a small plugin phone i bought from target. i unplug the phone cord from the copier and plug in the small phone and then call the fax #. Many times my plugin phone won't ring..the other issue i've seen ( last week), the cord was plugged into the phone port on the copier instead of the LINE port..

I have a phone jack tester that tells whether the lines are correct at the wall. This will not let the machine pick up, but it will send.
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

Thanks everybody for the interest... The machine was faxing fine until we had to do the HDD reset... therefore I don't believe is a problem with the line, I know I mentioned this before but did not specify it as I should... the copier was faxing fine until the reset.
            Any other idea???
