    Some issues with E-Studio 310C

I'm new to the group....great resource you have here!

I was just asked to configure an E-Studio 310-C with the GA-1130 standalone Fiery controller. The controller configured normally within the network, can be opened by the browser based interface and sees changes from the MFP and will 2 way communicate with the print driver. The probem is that once a single print command is transmitted to the copier, it is processed but then the control panel displays a 'Get Service' message with error code C9B. I understand that error pertains to a flawed communication between the controller and copier. The only way to get the display back is to disconnect the controller and reboot the copier.

My first feeling is that the cable is bad. It looks somewhat like a standard serial cable but slimmer and wider. Are these cables readily available and, if so, where?

Barring the cable, I guess the interface card it connects to on the controller tower is the next likely culprit.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance.
