Re: Tosh 2500-c getting EO11 codes.

Still no solution to this problem...we have installed the mod parts no change...I did add an extra ground wire from the transfer door frame to the main chassis....got over 300 copies from it then it started the jamming again . Last week when I was off one of the other techs swapped the sys board assy ,still jammed and I had already swapped out the power supply hvt stuff with no change, this machine is starting to tick me off lol!! I just wanted to bring the thread back up to the top , so more people would see it and maybe throw some ideas at me...thanks in advance !!

Re: Tosh 2500-c getting EO11 codes.

When you get the eo11 code after you clear it do you get a e030 code that sometimes wont clear unless you turn off/on? I found in 03 mode checking the cling sensor in the door it worked fine. When I closed the side door it was fine, but when I closed the duplex it said there was paper there. If I pushed on the side door with the duplex open I could make the sensor go back and forth. The only way I could stop that from happening was to adjust-bend the sensor mount angle. Now in the 03 mode and checking the sensor When I pushthe doors in or close the duplexer the sensor does not change. I have not had the code come back since then.

Of all the jams in the memory only a couple were followed by the e030 code, but it was no problem to clear it...we have tried three different door assy's with no change at all....

On mine I changed the whole door also and that didnt work. The only thing that worked was changing the sensor angle.

Thanks Hansen88 ,so its the bracket for the cling detection sensor that you are adjusting?(just wanna make sure lol) if so are you moving it towards or away from the transfer belt? I am gonna try and get into the shop in the next couple of days and try it out. Thanks again!

I had a 3510c doing the E011 thing & after replaceing everything around the cling sensor I replaced the whole fuser for laughs & the intermitten problem went away. Put the fuser in question in another machine & it started getting E011 errors. Not sure why it worked but it is worth a try.

Well we tried the fuser just for the heck of it....ran it over several days when ever one of us was in the shop ..did over 1,500 copies duplexed no jams ! Until this morning and it jammed again same old code !

Tried another duplexer assy and tried running just some blank paper to see if toner coverage was affecting it...guess what E011 lol!

Just a thought, and a long shot. Have you measured how good the earth is on the TR2 roller? Should be pretty much 0.
It didn't say that I couldn't do it in the manual.

I did run an extra ground wire from the door to the machine chassis, but I will get the meter on it and check it...but we have tried 3 different door assy's and still had the same old jams...

There are a few BSI notes on jamming but nothing mentioning E011. One mentions the reg guide. EO11 codes are horrible. I remeber them on the ES3511 models. We replaced the metal guidle above the TR2 roller and applied special conductive grease. Worked afterwards but this is a different model and I have not had this code yet on this machine.
It didn't say that I couldn't do it in the manual.

Has anyone found an answer for this jam? I have a machine that I if I run more than two duplex copies it jams with this code.

I might have. Try this. In 05 mode go to code 408 and write down the number displayed. Whatever value is in there add 1 then press set. Now power the machine off. Go back into the 05 codes and go back to 408 and set it to its original value. Then go through the calibration procedure. 4719, 396, 4 FAX/1642, 10 FAX/580 and 70 FAX/1008. Could you let me know if this works, thanks.

Unfortunatly it did not work. Looking closer at this machine it looks like the frame might be bent and causing the jam on the machine I'm working on.

                                Hi,

I have had this problem a couple of times now and the fact that the paper is going in behind the transfer roller tells me it is likely your duplex unit frame is bent and pushing on the transfer door.
You should be able to see if this is happening by slowly closing the duplex unit whils keeping a close eye on the inner door for any movement. It shouldnt touch the inner transfer door at all.
The other possibility is the transfer door hinge or hinges could be bent.
If either of these things are bent the angle and pressure on the transfer roller is changed. This can also cause creasing through the page, most noticable on A3 size paper.
This problem wasted a full day first time I came across it.
                                Good Luck
