      1. Backup USer Data if can
      2. Replace new HDD
      3. Create partition, holding "3+CLEAR" and power ON machine, key in "3" and press "START".
      4. Format HDD. 08-690:2
      5. Update firmware: holding "4+9" and power ON machine. (*Plug in USB drive that contain firmware)

you could try to reformat and install new firmware but i think didi's post is the best option.
It didn't say that I couldn't do it in the manual.

BTW...the 232 originally (US Model) had a 40 gig drive..Toshiba released f/w to accomidate the 80 gig. I don't have any info on the level you are installing or the regional area it is for, plus, the firmware version you posted looks a little bizzare. Today, you can't get less than a 160 gig drive and I'm not sure if it will work...HYTEC here in the US has 40gig drives for sale if you run into snag. And for "CopyAlbania"...I hope you see how the forum is supposed to work...notice the lack of "please someone send me XXX". Emujo
If you don't see your question answered in the forum, please don't think it's OK to PM me for a personal reply...I do not give out firmware and/or manuals.

Except that this is wrong procedure that is copy-pasted from SH. You can not format after partitioning! - Skip point 4.

I'll never ask if I didn't check user manual, service manual, parts list, BSI/TNI/TAD... web, existing threads.
