Hi, new technician here.
I was asked to fix a Toshiba 281c problem. When it prints/copies it makes a mechanical sound that's not supposed to be there. It's a high-frequency sound, like a spring squeking against metal. It's continous when it's making copy (goes up'n'down in freq though).
I tried changing fuser. No luck. Took out bridge. No luck. Then I took out the transferbelt unit. When I put it back and try to copy again the sound is gone.. for 5-15 seconds. I just have no idea where it comes from. The transferbelt unit looks allright. When I push the tension roller on the rear side it made the sound that we hear during copy. I put on some spray/oil of some kind, squeaking gone. Problem was, it was not the part making the sound when copying. Hehe..
Any ideas?
