E Studio 550 bypass feeding problem, motor binding.

There is a terrible binding noise and missfeeds from the bypass tray. There is only one clutch that controls the bypass feeding. Where is the motor that drives the bypass feeding. It looks to me to be the same motor that drives the transport rollers for all paper feeding. Why would it only bind up when bypass feeding? It picks the paper up and sends it to the first set of rollers in the bypass and binds. Is it the clutch?

    Thanks

i had the same on an e720 (basically same machine) making a terrible screaching sound from bypass, i replaced the bypass tyres & the fault went away. it then came back several thousand copies later, the motor was changed & the noise went for good.

What motor is it? Where is it located? Do I access it from the bypass door or through the back of the machine?
