    e-Studio 3510c - F110 Error Code - Communication Error-Sys CPU & Scanner

OK, I thought this would be an easy one. Guess not. All systems seem to check out OK, but I'm not a regular on this machine. Anyone have some in-depth experience they can share in regards to this code? I'm looking for anyone who may have had some other items throw this code, or some other areas I should check as well. I have manual and I followed their sequence to no avail.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I would try the scanner LGC board.

I tested it to the specs in the book, is there some other parameter I should look for or test? - Thanks for the comment.

Pop the cover off and look to see for dust build up on the chips.

If you're firmware reloads seem to work OK, then you may have a problem with the scanner bd (SLG) or the SYS bd, or the interface cable that connects them. Emujo

Hey guys, iv had to do this 3-4 times over the last few years, its a little bit tricky but doesn't cost anything and has worked every time.

              Cheers Cam

              CONTENT
When copying or scanning from the RADF, the machine may freeze at the “Ready” screen and requires rebooting to return the machine to an operational state. Also intermittent F110 and F111 errors may occur and
could be listed in the machine’s error history.

              CAUSE
There is a possibility that the 5.1VB line from the power supply is insufficient for correct operation of the SLG
board and the RADF. This must be confirmed by measuring the F205 fuse output on the copier’s power supply
with a digital multimeter. If the voltage is confirmed as being below 5.0VDC, it is likely to be the cause of the
symptoms described above, and the countermeasure step listed below should be applied.

              COUNTERMEASURE
The following information should only be conducted by experienced technical staff. A good quality
Digital Multimeter and an insulated pot adjusting screwdriver should be used for this procedure! The
output for the 5VB line needs to be adjusted to exactly 5.10VDC measured at F205 fuse on the Power supply.
This output voltage is adjusted by a trim pot on the power supply marked VR2. It needs to be adjusted
clockwise (whilst monitoring the voltage output of Fuse F205) and is extremely sensitive so will not need to be
adjusted very far to obtain the correct voltage. DO NOT EXCEDE 5.10VDC or serious damage to the machine
              will result.

I'll definitely give this a try. So far I've checked all mentioned above and I'm still getting the code. We even swapped out the Board mentioned and still coding.

its pretty hard to get it to 5.1v exactly without going over... iv found they are normally around 4.5-4.8v and getting it over 5v fixes the problem

                  Cheers
