i have a question: in some cases i can or cannot access the mfp side of the networked toshiba, as in when i try to open the mfp drive in my network places, i can see it but then i get an access denyed error in a way, it say basicly "you dont have privlages to access this drive" so this happens in xp or windows 7, where would the permissions be for this drive? in the manage/services area? or is it in the mfp controll which i could not find any share points, again it told me i have no access for this drive. any help would be nice, thanks

Re: toshiba mfp network access
This could be caused by different networks having different workgroup names other than WORKGROUP.
Instead of trying to access the device through My Network Places, use the UNC path of the device and / or map a network drive to the machine.
UNC: \\IPAddress\
or \\DNSHostName\Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends. -

i did this still cant access the drive "un authorized access check with your administator for permissions"
but i think the workgroup isnt workgroup so this may be the problem, thanks for the clue.Comment
