    HI,
When machine on, it goes to E724 error code mode.

When in diag 03-[FAX]ON/[7]/ all sensors are functioning. replace read sensor and registration sensors all 3 of them.

If you replaced all three "ruby" sensors then replace the adf pwb. Especially if you did not turn power off when replacing.
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

So it ended up to be the 4th registration sensor. All is working fine now.

        Thank you.

Similar machine, same solution. Mine was a eS3540 with the MR3022 document feeder.

The interesting part was that I could feed a hundred originals with no problem. Then while I was looking up the E724 and E712 (both point to the original registration sensor S5) the error popped up. I wasn't scanning or copying anything. I was just standing there, and it went into an E724 and it wouldn't clear. Re-boot the MFP and it clears and will do a hundred more originals. This happened four times. Each time I thought I was close to leaving it would error out again. ("Will you please stop that!")

Like the other Sharp 73 photointerrupters it was completely unpredictable. Each time I tested it in the service mode, all the sensors changed state correctly, but when I put my meter on CN74 pins 1, 2, 3 it didn't show the change. Bizarre.

Did I mention that Toshiba manuals suck? Nearly every other manufacturer has a two dimensional or three dimensional diagram of Location of Electrical Components. The best I could find was an illustration of replacing sensor S5. For me the clue was seeing three sensors in a row in the illustration. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
