Have a Toshiba E-450 that intermittently when scanning to its hard drive, a file storage error comes up and when you check job status it shows it didn't go thru. Doesn't seem to matter if its 1 or 2 pages or if its 30-40 pages. Any suggestions on what to check or do. When it works it works fine with no problem.

Re: Toshiba E-studio 450 scan file storage error
You need to look at the job log and get the exact error code...but w/o seeing this, I'd say the HDD may be failing,,not unusual as this MFP has been around for some time. Firmware update might be helpful...you can also do a HDD check via service mode to look for bad sectors. EmujoIf you don't see your question answered in the forum, please don't think it's OK to PM me for a personal reply...I do not give out firmware and/or manuals. -
Re: Toshiba E-studio 450 scan file storage error
I agree that you need to check the current firmware version. I would also backup templates, address book and network settings then do an 08-690 to reformat the HDD. If the HDD hasn't been replaced before then replace it with a new one like WD. If the current HDD is a Maxtor then I would definitly replace it.Comment
