Toshiba Estudio 6530c fuser drive. Worthless...

I work for a Kyocera dealer which has sold several 6530c replicas (550c, 650c, 750c). Kyocera has basically given up on supporting them and I have no technical bulletins what-so-ever. The fuser drive on these machines are the weakest link from my experience, so I assume there has to be bulletins and redesigns that Kyocera is neglecting to offer online. The fuser drive bracket and gears have crumbled on every single machine we have out. Can someone please inform me of any such bulletins and help me get my hands on them?

The es6530c Series has been replaced by the es6550c Series which has a updated fuser drive unit that can be fitted to the older machines. im yet to have any issues with these new drive units even in the older machines. we order them as a complete unit... id say we have over 10 of these machines running happily now.

The only real issue I've had other than gears wearing out every 100,000 pages or less is the bracket that mounts to the fuser drive assy inside the rear frame. They warp causing C4E2 errors and noises that startle the customer no matter how often I clean and grease the fuser. Have they made any changes to increase the structural rigidity?

with the bracket. the early ones cracked. to fix that they put 2 little dints on the corner. to stop it flexing the have fitted a extra bearing between the bracket and the main frame and to reduce gear wear some of the bushes have been replaced with bearings, some gears are wider and are made of a harder plastic. after fitting those mods (apart from the bearings) to the old fuser drive unit I was getting 300k out of most of them. but the bearings can't be fitted to the old frame. as well as a few firmware updates.

the machines that run better are the ones that do longer runs.

I can get some photos of you like?

You can replace the 6530 drive with the new 6550 drive unit.much much beefier drive unit.

I totally agree with you, when Toshiba first came out with the 6530 unit. I was going to cfs c4e2 call every day.

I have 2 off these machines with the same problem. I can’t find the parts nr for the fuser drive assy, in the parts manual for the Toshiba e-studio 6550C. There are only parts nr. for the separate parts and not for the hole assy. Can you please give me a partsnr. .
              Best regards
