    plz HELP!!! firmware upgrade failured

I have a estudio 350, after I upgrade the firmware failured, since I couldn't get a download jig to recovery the firmware on the board.

I replaced the pc board with a used board that my friend took out from a working machine. I replaced the HDD and format it with 08/690. When the machine normal power on it give me error code

F070 - Communication error between system CPU and main CPU

    1. check if the harness connecting the SYS board(CN117) and LGC board (CN321) is disconnected or open circuited.
    2. check the verison of the system ROM on the SYS board 3. Check the version of the engine ROM version on the LGC board.
    4. replace the SYS board
    5. replace the LGC board

    What should I do now?
How do I check then version of the system ROM?

    thank you very much!

check system rom version by going into 08-900. The last 3 numbers are the version. F070 is most likely now caused by firmware mismatch between the machine and the board you put into it. The engine rom can be checked by going into 08-903.

Why did the firmware update fail in the first place? Which target failed??

thank you for helpping me out

      Here is my origin problem:

      http://www.copytechnet.com/forums/to...300-pages.html

I got the firmware file from someone on this forum, for the reason not the get the copier locked up, I been told I should update my firmware to es4511_sys300, then es4511_sys4006, when I updated the first firmware with all the options selected, the copier freeze-up. When I restart the power the copier just hang on the the startup, is not repsond to any key that I pressed. Then I think the main board is screw up big time, I been told either I could recovery the firmware with the download jig or replace the main board. so I replaced the main board with that my friend took out from a working copier...

I believed it the problem has something to do with the firmware mismatch, for the F070 error I'm getting.

What should I do now? The guy who sent me the firmware is not repsond any e-mail I sent him

Here is my current ROM Verison
      08-900 >>>> T360SY0U300
      08-903 >>>> 360M-

Here is the infor before I tried to upgarde the firmware
      Printer Manufacture TOSHIBA
      Copier Firmware Version T360SY0U050
      Copier Main ROM Version 360M-08
      Copier Scanner ROM Version 360S-08
      Network Card Type Ethernet
      Product Description Network Interface Card
      Product Type DPO-7300
      Product Manufacture NetSilicon
      Product Serial Number 00D47727
      Product ROM Version 1.51q

I ask few copier tech, they don't know what to do to fix my problem. Could you please help me out!!! please...

If you suggect to upgarde the firmware again, please e-mail me the new firmware and let me know which one I should upgrade first.

      Thank you very much!

Whoever gave you the firmware gave you the wrong stuff. 4511 firmware will not work in a 350. Version 050 is the original version firmware for the machine. You should be ok upgrading to version 370. How did they get the firmware to you? The file is very large and I can't send it through my e-mail. Any ideas? Also, you may need the recovery jig if reloading the correct firmware doesn't work.

            hi bb4u929 !
which board do you replace SYS or LGC ?
If you can access 08_900 then SYS board is OK .You try replace the LGC board (It is on right hand ) .I think you should take carefully when update firmware ,sometime it can damage your machine .T360 is for es450 not for es4511 .Good luck

The board I replaced is SYS board with a NIC, do I need to replace the LGC board as well? He upload the firmware to a website, and sent me the link, so I could download it from the link.

I just created an account at Online Storage and Social Utility | FreeDrive.com you guys could logon as "bb4u929" password "copytech" to upload the firmware file, so I could download it. Please make upload the correct verison firmware, I don't have another $200 to get a used SYS board

or you could use winzip to split it into 5MB a file, you could send it via e-mail one file at a time(most e-mail services limited the file size to 5MB)

please don't tell me the firmware upgrade I done mess up the LGC board as well.... I got no money for that, and I don't have the download jig. Will a firmware upgrade will make SYS and LGC match?

              Thanks a lot

I think now you can't update with USB with old SYS &LGC board .Replace both SYS&LGC board or use download jig

my SYS board is new! I could get into to "4" "9" firmware update mode
Can I update the firmware to make the copier work without replace the LGC board? The guy who sold me the SYS board never call me back, I can't get the LGC board match the SYS board I already have.

Where I can get a download jig? how much it cost?

If you get into "4 & 9" firmware update mode you could use usb and do not need to replace LGC board just update machine with correct firmware.

                      okay, problem never ended

Fianlly, the guy who sold me the SYS board called me back, and I bought the LGC board from him before I saw estudio_master's reply.

anways, another $$$ for the LGC board. After I installed the LGC board, the copier boot up with error code C270 Carriage home position sensor not going OFF within a fixed time

what should I do now? is this a problem caused by the missmatch firmware with the SYS board, LGC board, and the something else?

PS the SYS board and LGC board were removed from a working copier(if the guy doesn't lie to me)

                      thanks to all your help

banner info I sent in a PM. Your total counter might be off....if you get a "check total counter" message when you go into 08 mode use 08-257 to correct it. Check for another file I uploaded for you....everything you want to know and more.
