    [Dead] 3540c turned off while firmware updating

    hey just asking is their anything that you can do if a Toshiba photocopier turns off while firmware updating and when turning it back on, it just turns on for 3 seconds and the turns off again and repeats.

    m/c is a 3540c
    firmware version was 3403

    No you'll have to order the firmware jigs from toshiba.These will force update the firmware

        I don't believe Jigs will change anything - you have a Short Circuit, check braided cable from Control Panel to Pcb for pinched wires etc - reseat all PCBs incl RAM - disconnect all addons also, then ensure the Unit boots ok (even if Display shows machine pikkie), before attempting to update FW - and ensure the FW is correct for this MODEL

          Chances are that the machine was turned off accidentally or the power went out in which case, the JIGS will fix everything.
          Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.
