    2550c display locked up

I have a 2550C that has locked up 4 times since October. The display is in the splash screen showing checking system do not power off. Have to do a hard reboot to clear then it takes a couple minutes before Ready screen comes up. When I got to the machine last week screen was in wait/warming and could not power off except again having to do a hard reboot. I've updated firmware twice in the past month, turned off the sleep modes, and reseated connectors. Anyone else seen this?

Try cleaning or replacing the RAM DIMMS.

Remove the touchscreen panel from the copier. Open the panel up then insulate the ribbon cable from the panel you have just removed. Hope this helps.

I would start with a firmware upgrade before spending any wonga on parts

Go to 5C mode and check HDD SMART info, make sure the HDD is ok.
