Toshiba 351c - Fax Received Forward is currently in use

    Hi you all.

Just found this forums-site and hope to receive a better answer for my problem than I got from my contractor.

Our copier is in use for a few months and works fine beside the fax-to-folder option. At the beginning I configured it with the proper settings but when I want (and I have to) alter any configuration element (agent, settings, ...) and press the SAVE-butting I get the error
"Fax Received Forward is currently in use" and no setting is saved.

I already followed the following instructions from my contractor but no success:
    • Remove network-cable from machine
    • Make shure notting is in fax-queue
    • Power-off machine
    • Power-on machine
    • Alter configuration
    • NO LUCK!
    Sysinfo:
    • Firmware : T410SY0E232
    • Main ROM : 410M-08
    • Scanner ROM : 410S-05
Thanks for any help or direction to a solution.

    Sven.

Sometimes when you want to do something by TopAccess like Save Adress Book etc.
you can get strange info like: The machine is in use etc. but nothing really is going on.
I get such a info 10 or more times. Alwayls reload the firmware was a succesful solution.
Besides your is old, (232) get 321 and aas a bonus you will get some new functions (IP6,security PDF, check ethernet and some more).
After reload firmware you will not loose any settings.
      Good luck.

Thank you Sbarro for your reply.

I'll see if I can have the machine upgraded to the firmware you mentioned (321) and hope that this enoying feature disappears.

        Regards.

I fixed it in the end!

Did a 08:690 (backed up all templates and address book first) and it seemed to come right after that.

                Thanks!

                  Hey Ricefoxnz,

Prefect that it worked for you. Can you or anyone tell me how to enter the system command(s)? I am at the customer location right now and hope to fix it.

                  Thanks to all who reply.

                  Regards,
                  Sven.

                    Heya

I'm not sure what you mean by system commands?

If you mean 08 to run a 690 just hold 0 and 8 while turning the copier on.

Hope this is whatyou were after!

                      Yep.

Since I'm not a copier specialist at all I refered to system commands because I was wondering how to execute the command. I got the Service Handbook from the Net and found out that it was indead by powering on and pressing the proper buttons.

Anyway thanks for your advise and all other replies. My problem had been solved.

                      Regards,
                      Sven.

hey guys.....i'm also having this problem after changing the NIC card. Tried initializing the nic card and rebuilding database related to address book but still doesnt work. now my fax received forward setting is stuck at send to e-filling. the thing is, i dont mind it getting stuck there because that's what i want it to be. however, it still prints out in hardcopy whenever i receive a fax. Trying to change it and clicking save will result in the error msg saying fax received forward is currently in use.

if i use the 08 code to rebuild database related the address book, the fax receive forward setting is reset to OFF. but then, when i try to set it to my desired the setting and click save, it'll take forever to load n refresh the page. if i click refresh or click back on device in top access, the copier will hang.

Any ideas guys? I'm on Toshiba 230..so should be almost the same.
                        Really need your help. Thanks.
