    Sky shoot when copying

I have a Toshiba es3530c that is printing and scanning ok but when I try to copy it sends out either a blank copy or a sky shoot. I replaced memory with no change. It is almost like what happens if you try and copy a check or cash. Any thoughts?

Well you've ruled it down to a board problem, but which? The scan tells you that the CCD and scanner are functioning properly. The prints indicate that the print engine is functioning. It will be either the system or logic PWB. I'm leaning toward Sys PWB, myself.

Hint: Never replace system and logic boards simultaneously. And follow the backup procedure in the manual. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

make sure the memory dimms are the correct way around ( ie: main & page memory )

The system board did the job. Thank you for the help.

Different model machine ,but I had a 232 that was spitting out weird black copies when I tried to copy, I re-seated the ccd connectors and the problem never came back....
