    Toshy eS6540 with CD81

This machine will go ~10K before collecting toner rocks in the vertical auger that feeds the 2nd transfer waste bottle. I vacuum out the augers, tap on the tubes to break loose the rocks, and hand drive the augers until they're clear. 10K later, I'm back again.

I can't imagine that there could be a heat buildup issue in the ADU unit. It's an office environment, 70F 25% humidity. Where are these toner rocks coming from? I want then to stay away.

It's got 3.4M prints, 98% monochrome. The 2nd transfer unit has been updated to the new part number. Motor M11 runs fine in 03-241 ... when there aren't any toner rocks. And I wouldn't expect a new motor to act any different.

I watched the auger system operate for quite a while. M11 comes on every 20 seconds, and runs for about 20 seconds, then repeats. 2nd transfer waste should be minimal. I can't imagine there being very much 2nd transfer waste. Perhaps the interval could be changed to run longer, or take shorter breaks.

It's OEM toner. Umm ... ok, that's all I can think of. What do you think? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Did you fit the modded augers as well as the new black housing?
If you did, take a look at the mylar flappers at the end of the modded auger, they've been made to long IMO. I cut them down so they just reach the hole.
Make sure to clean the bushings on the end of all the augers & the plastic shafts with some PTFE or other similar lubricant (should be able to spin the bushings by hand when placed on the shafts & they should spin fast.
I've had to attend escalations for several where the mods have been done & all i've done is clean as above & the fault usually doesn't come back, there is a possibility however that the driver board in the ADU frame has an intermittent issue.

    Regards.

I'll have to look at the augers. I don't know the answer to that question. It spins easily (without toner rocks). The auger ends were clean, no toner past the rubber seals. Thanks McKinley. =^..^=
