    E Studio 451C Network issue

On a sole printer office network the 451C has disappeared. If I set the IP to dynamic, it assigns some 269.254.XXXXX weird number instead of a 192.168.1.XXX. I tried resetting the NIC with the 08 code. Still no go. I tried a new cable. My laptop hooks right into the network. It gets assigned an IP that is correct. Did it blow up? If I set it to static and assign IP,Dynamic, and subnet, it can't find it. I tried a new cable.
Please help...this damn thing is in Tonopah, AZ.

Not sure why, but DHCP is not assigning an address to your MFP.

I would run NetScan to identify an open IP address with the last octet in the high 200's, and assign is to the MFP static. If you can not communicate with that new address there is some restriction at the router, and will require participation of the local IT.

Edit: I just noticed that you already tried that. Next, I'd try connecting to my laptop via crossover cable. If you still cannot connect, get yourself a NIC card.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Sound like the recieve side of you network cable or NIC card is broken.
Check the RJ45 pins inside the socket to see they are not bent?

Unfortunately this machine has no NIC card. It is part of the main board. I am unfamiliar with the cross over cable. I am simply going to bring a small laser network printer with me and see if it will hook up. If it does, it's the damn NIC has gone bad. I will check the connection port.
With a crossover cable you just hook right into the machine with the static IP?
        Thanks for your help guys.

Which 08 code did You use for reset? There are two. Use 693, 1119 is not strong enough... Right after reset do not connect cable, and wait 5-6 min. After that try to set static address and restart the machine using right procedure.

Did You try to upgrade firmware? It should fail if there is a problem with HDD or Sys board (where the network port is). Can You print via USB?
