e Studio 35 with controller, Scan to HDD problem

Interestingly, this customers machine is scanning to the MFP's HDD, which is shared out to the rest of the network. When it had reached document "scan_999.pdf" it wouldn't scan any more.

    1) I figured out the Master password, and accessed Admin mode from the web page, to discover that there isn't much available that way.
    2) I discovered that it will still scan to any name other than "scan". Perfectly good names include scan1, scann, and antidisestablishmentarianism (though that last one isn't very practical from a data entry point of view).
    3) I thought that if I cleared out the share folder it might resume at "scan_001.pdf". Nope, no difference.
    4) Then I thought I would change the default file name to something (really, anything) else. If there is a way to change the default filename, I couldn't find it.

    Some my questions are:
    1) Can I reset the scanner to resume scanning at "scan_001pdf"? How?
    2) Can I change the default filename? How?

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Try logging into machine then go to administration then maintenance there is a page export/clearlog.
Give that a try and see what it does

I am assuming it is GL-1010... (not a GA-1040). You may have a problem deleting files in share folder using Windows 7. If it is possible use XP. Otherwise You might see that files are deleted but they are not indeed...

      BR

PS GL-1010 is a big box on the back of the machine with integrated CD-ROM player.

As drolfe@webmail.co.za says go to admin mode using password (default is 12345) and You will find place for changing default file name and many more.
I'll never ask if I didn't check user manual, service manual, parts list, BSI/TNI/TAD... web, existing threads.

@ivovb: Sorry, I don't know which controller. It takes up the whole bottom of the MFP at the rear. If there is something in Admin mode I haven't seen it. I spent over an hour clicking through every single link.

Can you be a little more specific where I might find the default filename?

I didn't have any trouble clearing out the share folder. There is a sub-folder named " ... Controller-212. ...". Inside the sub-folder is an HTML document which I believe was accidentally stored there. From the webpage I can view the file, and open it. When I go to Run > //copier hostname/GL_share that same file is not visible. I don't really think it matters much though.

@drolfe@webmail.co.za: I seem to recall that particular screen. I'll give it a try.

You have GL-1010. I'll try to find screenshots later and post them...
