    Toshiba es 650

I have a Tosh. es 650 that I'm working on and it has a grey back ground. First thing I was thinking of changing is the Developer, Drum , Drum Blade, Drum Brush. The DV,Drum have 650k on them. No signs of toner residue on drum surface. Seems like a light white powder residue on Drum. Also ,on this model can you vac. out the Dev. unit or just dump and replace? I wiped down the whole paper path and cavity of the copier. Fuser has been rebuilt 1 month ago.
    Anything else it might be???

It needs a PM. The PM cycle is 460k.

You can just dump the dev. If the machine has close to 1M copies then you'll need to replace all the seals in the dev unit or it will seize up.

Thank you. I had thought I saw in another post somewhere that the Toshibas were sensitive to the Vac.

Auto toner sensor is sensitive. It's at the bottom. Do not cleaning it by a vacuum

no, simple fix. After you remove the developer unit and drum unit. reach up into the copier to the right of where the drum was. if you look up inside you will see a laser slit glass, remove the plastic holder with the glass and clean with alcohol. leave no residue!
