    E-Studio 2830c k-toner not reconized

I work at a print shop and we have a estudio 2830c and we just had to replace the k-toner(black). After we installed it, it gave the error K-Toner not recognized. We followed every instruction to the letter and it still gives that error. Funny thing is though is that it still prints with the new toner. That error is the only weird thing. Any help would be appreciated.

The one I had would not print. It kept blowing the EEPROM chip on the toner cartridge. The cause turned out to be that the machine was sharing an outlet with an eS855, so it was at a minimum 10A overloaded. The funny thing was that there were plenty of dedicated circuits in that location, but the only surge suppressors they had were 20A, so naturally they plugged both 20A surges into the same circuit.

In a pinch you can borrow the chip from any other color toner. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

      Replace the toner detect board.
