    E-Studio 5540C CA00 code

I pulled the EPU unit out and removed drums. Most of black developer was gone. Replaced entire EPU assy with a known good one. Drums, transfer belt, dev units. The machine powered up without the code. Black and white is fine, but getting color banding in color mode. Color(all three) half tone bands about an inch thick. I get them in single color mode also. The bands are opposite of feed direction. They slowly fade out about 2 inches from the bottom. Never seen anything like it and need help.

      What was the solution?
Why does every customer think they're the first one to ever say: "you've been here so much we should get you an office, ha, ha, ha"?

It helps to see an image when it's a quality issue. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Did you find the cause though - even though no one seems to have been able to help - a lot of people benefit from some one finding the cause and reporting the solution....

Something in the drum drive unit. Haven't troubleshot the unit yet.
