    e-28 the fuses are ok but ...

    i have close front cover in estudio 28 all fuses are ok and thermofuse too
    and still have it (p.s it happend after sudden power off of the electricity)
    another question can i use a combuter hdd instead of the bad one in this machine ? are there a specific kind or capacity?

        just use a standard IDE hard drive, anything 20gig to 80gig will do ( although some of the GL1010 controllers don't like an 80gig ) the hdd inside the copier will accept an 80gig.
        the hdd won't fix a close front cover error though, sounds like a fuse that may have been missed, or a connector left unplugged / half out.

            E28/close cover

            I have fixed 2 by changing out the entire power supply board

              I have had to actually had to replace the whole power supply
              Also check the door switch assebbly. it has to push the swotch from the from and the side together at the same time
