Toshiba e-studio 256se scanner and radf update failure

Hello guys. I recently updated the firmware of this machine because of error f520. First I update only the HDD system firmware (T160HD0W2001) and its succesful. But its freezing and when I test copy, there was no image. After that, error f111 came. So, I decided to update all the firmware at once. But, error 01 came. I coudnt select the scanner firmware (T160SLGWW.01N) which I knew inside the usb. I can select the RADF firmware(502DFWW.003) but its not updating in the process.I waited long time maybe around 30 mins for the radf update but theres no message at all even failure. So I shut it down with the main switch, I cleared the error flag in 3C becuase I know there will be error in updating. I switched on the machine and the same thing, BLANK COPY and error F111 after. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated guys. And by the way the copier is red dot.

If I remember correctly, there are two versions of the firmware, yellow dot and red dot. The difference is the scan firmware, so yes, the machine will not display the incompatible version of the scan firmware. Make sure that you have selected the correct version of the firmware. In 08 mode you will be able to view the current version of the various firmwares. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.

Thanks blackcat4866. the machine is a red dot. do you know what is the filename of the scanner driver of the red dot machine? I just want to know the similarity with the file I have. because I have a bunch of it downloaded from the net. So I just want to figure out what is the right one. Thanks in advance.

The file name for red dot is:
        T160SLGWW.01N

Check in 08-9902. Did you extract the file before loading to your USB stick? If the USB update fails you'll need the recovery jig (K-PWA-DLM-320). See pg 923 of your SM. =^..^=

Yes off course, I extracted it. I followed the sm. I have the same file. Is it ok to format the hard disk and start flashing again? Is there other way around to fix this problem? becuase I dont have the jig.

By the way, is the file name for the yellow one the same file name for the red dot?

Thanks Thomas007. I will try that later. By the way, in addition to that the scanner is just moving a little bit forward going to the slit glass and then going back to the home position. Its not even lighting. If will do 08-9090, do I have to calibrate the developer?

Re: Toshiba e-studio 256se scanner and radf update failure

I think I know what seems to be the problem. Thank you for the technical bullettin. I checked the board it is 01N (red). The installed version is T160SLGWW.002. My file is 01N so I was thinking why the installed version is different. The updater version is not showing but I have the correct file. I asked the costumer and they said someone took the machine before for repair. Maybe they installed the wrong one. Is there anyway to reflash it without using the download jig?

Yes. I read the technical bullettin.
The copier is Xenon lamp, Red dot 01N is attached on the SLG board.
The installed version of Scan firmware is T160SLGWW.002.
But theres no error unless I started copying. After the first page goes out, it will take sometime and error F111 pops out.

Yes. I tried 08-9090. Service Mode appeared in lower left side of the screen.but still the same behavior when I started copying.

Thnx. I will try that. But the biggest question in my mind was Why the installed version of scanner is .002 in the manual it should be .01N for red dot? and still there is no error f350?

the red dot is 3ccd firmware, can you make a print from the computer cause if you have updated the incorrect firmware it will make a print but wont make a copy. if so the only way to repair it is with the jig or contact the toshiba distributor and send them the scanner board and they will put the correct firmware on for you
