[Misc] toshiba 2551c - colored stripes in copy

    Hi,
I have a problem with some colored lines appearing in scan and copy.
Surely it is a problem of the optical part.

I tried to clean the lamp and prisms without success.

Do you have any suggestions, please?

    Thanks!

It might be laser optics, or dirty scorotrons. Try cleaning the slit glasses with the wand, and removing and cleaning the primary charge units. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

You can try to adjust code 05-3047 with smal steps.
It changes the default position of the carriage when scanning with RADF in color.
          Good luck.

I tried to change the code value, but without result. It moves only the image but the colored stripes remain.

Have never seen this machine, but it looks like the same issue that's been around since the beginning of the slit glass days...from what I can see of the line, it has a small deleted area on the lead edge. That is typical of something on/under the slit glass or mirror as the image processing is doing the lead edge deletion properly. if it was a drum/fuser scratch the line would be from edge to edge.
              1. make a copy off the glass or send a print job..Is the problem still there? If yes then your issue is not with the optics.(but could be a image processing issue)
              2. Copy through ADF shows line? Place paper on platen with image data face up and square up to scales markers. The line on the page is caused by something within a mm or 2 of this line. Don't waste your time looking anywhere else...you have a blob of dirt/correction fluid/dust/pen mark etc...the only place it will reverse location is after the lens, so it could be something on the opposite side of the CCD. Emujo
If you don't see your question answered in the forum, please don't think it's OK to PM me for a personal reply...I do not give out firmware and/or manuals.

The problem is only by glass and ADF, do not show in print job

The problem occurs only in color mode.

I clean all parts in the attached photos.

                        Faulty CCD/Scanner PCB.

If it were dirt you wouldn't have such a clean distinct coloured line through a solid background like that.
No, I will not send you Manuals, Software or your own little repair Genie to fix all your problems for you.

There is nothing more than a small DOT on your slit glass. This is the 1" x 12" strip of glass to the left of the BIG glass. When using ADF this is the only glass used. Lay your copy with the line on it face up in the upper left hand corner on the big glass as if you were going to make a copy. But line will be face up. Follow that line to the left and within a 1/4 inch there will be a small dot. This can be the size of someone taking an INK pin and putting a dot on the glass. Just scratch with your finger nail in that area if you don't see it. I use a small flat metal ruler that I scrape this glass with to clean it. Then just polish with a clean blank piece of paper. This is caused by dust build up rubbing the glass and also gel pins not drying and being fed through ADF. Instructions for this issue are usually on a sticker on top of the ADF.
