Xerox 7545 BOOT ERROR, Turn the power to the machine OFF and Wait 2 minute(s)

I have a 7545 that was working in my office but does not boot since being delivered to the client. This is not a new but used machine.When trying to boot it gets the error "Turn the power to the machine OFF and Wait 2 minute(s)"While trying to boot you do not hear the scanner lift or any other test being performed. We changed the SBC (mother board) and had the same issue. Did a ALT BOOT to the new board and same issue. Note with the SECOND board tried we can hear the scanner moving and a few other checks take place.Same issue however, can't get past the error "Turn the power to the machine OFF and Wait 2 minute(s)"

I'd be trying the HVPS board next. What's the status number on the back (small LCD digit)

Nothing unfortunately, only the dot after where the number should be is flashing.

If you still think I should change the HVPS which one would you change first?

REP 1.1 HVPS (1st/2nd/DTC) .................................................. ...................................... 4-5

My mistake. Main LVPS (Rep 1.17).

This is what it was when I had this issue. Same issue of machine not booting. Tried forced alt boot, tried SBC, tried DIMM... Ended up being the LVPS. Luckily we had another to swap test parts

No luck after changing the LVPS. I am thinking to swap the two HVPS next since I have a spare machine to swap parts with.

So the new SBC gets you further along the boot process (in that it does some POST checks and movements)?

Did the machine take the firmware when you did it?

105E19210 Sub LVPS (7545, 7556 ONLY 18.3

and


16 960K55081 MD PWB (REP 1.5) 18.2 Don't know what this board controls, but is next to mcu board.

Is the fuser warm when you power on the machine. the
105E19802 IH PWB (110V) controls the fuser.

don't know this machine but intrested in the problem and solution.

Yes it took the firmware without issue, ALT BOOT. The original board had the latest firmware and the replacement board was alt booted with the previous version, this may be why the boot process is a bit different from one board to another.

I have also replaced the BP PWB and the MCU PWB (forgot to change the EEP ROM I just realized).

Same issue... i'm loosing my patience!

Firmware should be done every time you swap a board as the firmware has to match on all boards. Doing a FORCED alt boot will assure all levels match.

I have changed the Sub LVPS and next up I have to change the 960K55081 MD PWBD. Unfortunately I won't get a spare for that until tomorrow. Really counting on that being the problem!

Yes, the fuser unit is warm. Tried booting without fuser or any consumables also but no luck.

Just replaced 960K55081 MD PWBD also and no luck.

Feeling very lost, have changed all the board at the rear and ALT BOOT with two different SBC board, no luck.

Are you doing forced alt boot's to ensure everything is overwritten?

Yes, we are using the forced upgrade method.
