Xerox ColorQube 8900 jam from tray 2 only

My ColorQube 8900 is jamming from tray 2 only. Tray 1 (MPT) and 3 print fine. The strange thing is, that is does actually pick the paper and transports it to the inner simplex guide, where it stops. It does not seem like there is any dog-ear on the paper or something of the like, so the most logical explanation would be a sensor not detecting the paper is leaving tray 2. Although I do have the service manual, I cannot find any sensors except for the tray open, tray lift or out of paper. Am I missing something here? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'd like to bump this post as I actually have THREE machines with this problem now and have not yet found a solution.

Have you tried to replace the paper feed roller for that tray? If worn, it could not be grabbing the paper fully and causing a jam due to the paper arriving late to the next sensor in the paper path.

I have done so, no effect unfortunately. I do have the feeling the takeaway roller might be the causing. Working on that now to see if it changes anything.

It is indeed the takeaway roller. Treating the rubber eventually solved this.
