I've had many issue with scan to email on different machines on different networks.
Often the solution is incorrect settings etc.. But if these are OK; then I've found the problem to be that often machines do not like any delay when sending an email - and authentication: requiring a user name and password for the SMTP server - can cause delays and thus the scan to email fails.
The solution is to use a SMTP service like: SMTP Server - smtp2go The Worldwide SMTP Server. that does NOT require authentication - instead, it will only send from a registered email. There is a small charge. There are other suppliers as well - Google "SMTP service" etc.
Obviously in order to send email you need an SMTP server that works!
As previously discussed, ARGOSOFT is much more recommended and it is FREE! It has been tested and it really works.
