    [Dead] DC 1632 Boot touble....out of ideas

    Hi all,

    I'm getting a little bit lost with my machine. I was configuring some minor changes with PWS. And during updating/prepare for re-boot was a stupid power shut down from a circuit braker (not caused by the machine).

    And guess what's happened... the machine don't re-boot. It arrived until the third circle is blinking and stays there for ever. Also PWS is not accessing the machine anymore. I tried also the boot option with pressing 3+stop+pwrsave until the 2nd ring is lid.

    I also tried to exchange the NVM from another system and both ROM (with little different version)

    Does anyone have some more ideas what to check or is there something that needs now to get flashed again?

      ...it would be a shame to scrap this machine. It was working quite fine ...

          I am afraid you have fried the board. The most important thing when upgrading software of any kind is consistent power including the computer using PWS. I had a machine that did the same except a customer tripped over the power cord and the board was fried. You can search for a used DC1632 and I hope you have better success with them over there. There are still some of these machines in the market now and possibly can get them for cheap or at least the main board. I give you alot of credit trying to revive this "machine".
