Whilst you're at it, ensure you do the ribbon cable mod if you haven't done already.

The narrow one that goes to the scanned? What's the mod?

The narrow one that goes to the scanned? What's the mod?

The white thin one. As the scan carriage moves back and forth, the ribbon cable scrapes the metal plate with holes in. The edges of the holes are slightly sharp and after a while it wears through the ribbon cable enough to short and blow boards. Known problem. Put electrical tape over the metal plate so the cable doesn't rub.

I replaced the scan cable and ccd, that fixed it!

I'm working on a different machine and I did a jet direct text and I have a ydot position correction failure, what does that mean? The uniform between printheads are different on one only!

No, I'm getting a finisher cod saying finisher main tray out of service check for obstruction in the main tray. What is the main tray, is that the delivery tray?

The motors on the big finishers have issues. Known problem. Could be that. Could also be the ejector assy/fingers. What's the finisher code?

I didn't see a code.just that message. I had someone mention the cat5 connector on the lower tray. Sorry I'm new on this machine I had a bunch recently thrown at me! Doesn't it usually show the code on the top left of the screen? I didn't look in the Service mode, I guess that would be under diagnostics! Are there any particular codes that are the norm with this issue? Thanks again

Code is in service mode. Sometimes they show a code on the normal UI but going into service mode often shows the "true" code. When I'm in front of my laptop, I will look up the bulletin.
