Workcentre 7655 battery query

I'm trying to help out someone local who has inherited a few machines after her husband died and she has a 7655 with a config mismatch error.

I've read on another thread that it could be a battery problem. If I read it right then she/me needs to replace the yellow battery.

Where do you order one of those from as I'm new to this part of the industry?

I've looked on those "Xerox Workcentre 7655 yellow battery" and they give no hits for batteries. Only toner supplies and sponsored links that also don't have any batteries.

Have you tried leaving the machine turned on for 24 hours etc? this can happen if the machine has been unplugged from the wall in storage etc.

When switched on it currently halts at a configuration mismatch. The screen is unresponsive and we are unable to do anything else.

My friend (like me) is not savvy with this machine as her partner ran the business.

It hasn't been switched on many times this year and although previously she was able to get it working okay, it then started to need a lot of okaying to get the printer to the point where jobs could be run.

It's now at this config point and won't progress any further.

She has been unable, so far, to find any manuals and we're both stuck as to how to get it working.

That has worked a treat.

The screen is now functional, and we've managed to get a print out of it, thanks.

Its a software mismatch, the UI and the other components need to have the same software version installed or it will give you this error. Do not remove the batteries! How may 76XX do you have?
