Xerox 470 Machine Adjustments

Machine used to do this:

After printing usually Large Documents (100 or 200 pages), the machine would display the message “MACHINE ADJUSTMENTS IN PROGRESS PLEASE WAIT”, this would last about 5 to 10 minutes.

Machine now does this:

Now the machine shows message after a large document (more frequently) “MACHINE ADJUSTMENTS IN PROGRESS PLEASE WAIT” then it gives the message “PRINTER NOT AVAILABLE”, along with “PRINTING FAULT PLEASE CALL FOR ASSISTANCE”. If I reset power, everything seems normal until it repeats the process. Errors seem to be 9.330.00 and 9.334.00, I beleive one of these are causing the problem.

The pre-charge erase lamp was not coming on - in this case, because W8A3 was not seated. You can view the pre-charge erase by running the machine with the front door open and looking into the T/DT area at the top right of the XCRU (where paper exits) a red light should be easily seen

Reseat W8A3.
Note: W8A3 is not fully tested by the IIOC type 1 and Type 2 test and may be defective even though both tests passed.
