We replaced the scanner belt on this and started up after but screen says please wait for over 60 minutes. We rebooted and still no joy. Cannot access the menus or service mode. Is it bricked? Double checked the cables all is connected. TIA for any and all help.

You'll need to flash the firmware, maybe you pulled the power cable out a bit to early before the machine had fully shut down.Let us eat, drink, and be merry, because tomorrow we may die!

I am not sure if you can do a "Altboot" on the 6400 but give it a try.
Use a USB drive with "Altboot" folder in the root.
Then place the firmware in the folder (DLM File).
Also include blank file "FORCED_UPGRADE" in the same place as the DLM file.
Let us know how you make out.

Good morning up North neighbor. Ok was the scanner the only thing replaced? On this machine line you CANNOT change HDD, Main Board (MCU) or Scanner together. They must be done 1 at a time, turn on to re synch, replace next part - turn on to resynch and so on. Being that the machine is locked up you are most likely done with the machine as it will require all 3 boards to be re synched together. I learned the hard way with this one and no where in the first release of manuals stated this had to be done. I would try a Forced Altboot, if it will not recover it is toast. The Scanner Firmware MUST be at the same level of the IOT throughout the process. Suggestion if you can. Install the old scanner back on, reload Firmware and replace the part again. Hopefully you should recover.
Hope this helps.Comment
