yes the fuser seems to be pulling the toner off the copies which leads to
smearig.I have play with the temp setting, installed new fuser roller and dv
and have oil the wick but nothing seems to work, and there is aways a toner buildup on the fuser roller.

Ask the customer if they might have used any generic toner some work good other lousy.

Have you checked that the Donor Roller of the Fuser unit is supplying Oil to the Fuser Roller OK and not stalling ?
Sometimes the sleeve splits and causes this problem.

Yes they are using oem toner and we replaced the donor roll when we replaced the fuser roll and everthing seems okay on that end.

From the actions you have taken already the only thing I can suggest is that you return to the Fuser Temperature and I would use a Probe to actually prove the Temperature if you have not done this already.
It suggests that the Fuser Roller is to Hot.
I did have a non OEM Fuser Roller which gave me all sorts of problems a couple of years ago !

              Good Luck

Yes the fuser roller is oem,but i failed to mention that we changed the dv
in the machine and it is oem,but i wouldn't think that would cause the toner to be pull off on the fuser roller. Also have a question about the fabric guide under the fuser it has a felt pad under it,does it need to be oiled.Book doesn't say anything about it.

                Thanks

                    smears

The toner Sensor on this copier seems to go bad and cause overtoning
you might want to try that I dont remember if it has a lever near the toner canistor that adjusts toner drop rate .

If machine reaches ready condition it shouldnt be an Issue but the heat lamp does turn snake on you giving you poor fusing and long warm-up cycles.

i think the probem is the amount of oil on the fuser roller,we oil the pad under the fabric guide and it seem to help alot,so i am thing the problem is the oil donor roll is not getting enought oil on the roller even tought is
brand new.The ends seem to be oiled more than the middle sections so i don't know if i don't have something right or not.

                        fuser temperature

you can change fuser temperature in "service mode" enter 4 "fuser temperature" and you can change the number from 1(low) to 9 (high). success

Take the springs out off the donor roll so the oil can disperse to the fuser. The springs tend to bind and restrict the oil flow.
