If you have a PWS laptop, look in the WC5687 Family EDOC, section 6, GP 5. It says to install the USB connector to a USB port on laptop, other end to SIP module. I am not familiar with this machine, but I am familiar with EDOC,s.

Obviously, you don't have the EDOC on your PWS laptop, so you can download a PDF file called WC5687 Family which includes the WC5655, from service-manual.net, 2320 pages, for $12.99.

1- IN USB PORT **USB KEY**
OR
2- PRINTER PORT **THE CABLE USB FOR ALL PRINTER**

I would try the USB Key port on machine, other end to any USB port on the laptop. If this does not work, try the other USB printer port on the machine.

USB port located on back side of the scaner . sometimes this port is covered by an small black rubber cover..
