Xerox Docucolor 240 Printing yellow shadow / colour off register ??

    Hi,

My docucolor 240 has developed a problem a few days ago, where anything i print whether it be full colour or mono theres a yellow shadow as if the yellow is off register, as you can see in attached pictureprint.jpg
i have been across forums for a few days and tried the following -

    swapped colour drums
    new black drum
    new charge corotron
    cleaned ros glass
    ran belt edge learn diagnostic
    ran registration cycles in diagnostics

    all to no avail

has anyone got any other idea ?
    would be greatly appreciated

On the ibt there was a silver patch. I do not know if on the ibt of 240 there is the silver patch. I think no. Surely some other forum friend can help you.

good start.. you will need a PWS i'm sure for this tho... manual adjustments (UGHHHHH) of the laser beams coming from EACH ROS.. ( kinda like my Ex.. tons-o-fun and can also be messy) start by stripping all fuser/belt/drums/toners.. clean internals .. then remove the shield and clean out ROS area... reassemble run test ( still the same) then run manual ROS adjust. if you aren't a calm type person.. maybe hire a certified tech.
was a real PIA in the older printer/copier series.. and knowing Xerox they have screwed da pooch again!

          Good Luck!
