      Please post Config Page.

Most of the time it's because nobody has put a name in the address book.

There MUST be at least one name in address book to scan.

If you have one already in there, post Config Page.

            Gentleman thanks for your input.
Phil, As I stated customers IT dept configured Scan to Shared Folder on both boxes in the exact same fashion.
WC7545 works fine but WC7845 will Scan to same folder but folder remains empty.
There are no error codes and no failures. IT said Scan is working but the for some reason never gets to folder...
I will forward a Config Pg later.
            Again thanks to all....

What firmware level do you have on the 7845?

                Re: WC7845....Where's the Scan

This sound like a port or packet blocking on your customers firewall.

There are different versions of security software on each of the Xerox Workcentre Machines.

Example: If the firewall is excepting packet security 2.0 and the 7845 has packet security 2.5 the firewall my not
recognize the higher version and block the packets from going through to the folder.

Sometimes Xerox will provide a special firmware upgrade that will pass the firewall specs / sometimes they don't.

Talk to the customers IT people and see if they have a Physical (Sonicwall, Watchguard, etc..) or a Software firewall (Jupiter, Barracuda, etc..) and how it's setup to handle packets.

                    REALLY?

have you NOT kept up with the problems w/ SMB1 and the REASON Microsoft has disabled it?

Does your boss approve of you doing this?
Does he have good lawyers on staff/call?

IF you enable SMB1 and it allows a VIRUS or MALWARE into the server/network and that Virus/Malware does infectious DAMAGE to said system... he can be in for a MAJOR law suit and you would be looking for another job.. and IF word gets out WHY you were let go... well repeat after me... " Would you like fries with that order Ma'am/Sir?"

                    very poor advise.

Customers IT Dept has tried getting some answers direct from Xerox Support but still in this
day and age Xerox will only confide in the chosen few.

Check the unc path of the scan location to ensure it is not dropping the scan in a higher level. If you are not getting any errors or a failed scan sheet printing then the scan must be going somewhere. I would clone the working ones and put onto this machine to see what happens then, just obviously change the IP to the correct one
