    Phaser 8500 error

I mistakenly posted this as an error on a 860 but looked today and found it to be a 8500. The code is 09.038.46.5646
The machine goes through all of the test and then codes, then when you reboot , it will code right away. Thanks in advance for any help.

This pertains to the Black cartridge. Ink count sensor flags are stuck after melting.
The 5646 number is the page count.

Thanks for the quick response. Is this something that can be repaired with ease, or are there parts involved. It is for a public school and if I can pull it off , It will probably be a freebie, they seem to be broke. I do not mind taking it apart to clean something, but it is only the fourth phaser I have done in 9 years and to make matters worse, someone stole my case with the torx bits in it last week.
