    DC242 over toning on black

    Hi.

My dc242 is leaving a slight scattering of black toner over the entire sheet of paper- its so slight that when I scan the image its not picked up but if you hold the sheet next to a unprinted sheet you can see the difference.

The black drum is recent (82% remaining) , the black dev is recent (within 20k pages), I have checked the values for toner density and according to the service manual they are well within tolerance, the ATC sensor values look correct.

Any idea where I go from here?

    Thanks
    CHris

Probably the K BIAS PWB. Its located on the left side under the panel where the UI attaches.

Thanks. Where in the service manual does it refer to this? Nothing comes up when searching for it.

      Cheers

I have the new board coming in the next day or so. Is it just a case of swapping the board and all my troubles will be resolved ir do I need to set it up?

            Thanks
