    Transfer Belt XEROX WC7120/7220 Damaged

    Hi everyone !
Im getting more and more customers calls about making small dots on top of sheet because ITB have very small dots and ITB Clean Blande wont clean ... (ITB with 20k they are doing too)
    Im using Original Xerox Toner.
Offcourse changing all the ITB solve the problem but right now I cannot change , If I buy OEM ITB Blades and change could solve the problem ?

I think the problem is more from the rollers than the blade. In your experience, changing the blade makes the dots dissapear?

pull the belt off the frame... check the rollers carefully.. i'll bet there is toner/paper dust causing the bumps on the belt

there are a few times. Toner / unknown substance sticking on IBT cleaning blade.
Most of the times, there are some toner spill / rubber guide of the IBT gets stuck in the roller. Usually I cleaned those using gasoline / petrol.

          usually my steps:
          1. clean IBT belt.
          2. check and clean rollers.
          3. if no 1&2 fail. replace ibt cleaning blade.
          4. if no 3 fail, replace ibt belt.
          5. if no 4 fail, replace IBT BELT ASSY.

ITB marks are such a pain with these... sometimes replacing the cleaning blade will solve it. Often the ITB drive roller has a damaged surface. I don't think it's available as a spare part, so then indeed the entire ITB needs to be replaced.

It sounds like something is getting on the transfer rollers and is making what I call divots poking up causing spots. If the cleaning unit does not work replace the ITB, but make sure if it is a belt only thoroughly clean the frame and rollers.
