    Altalink C8055 empties developers

I have an Altalink C8055 that is emptying all developer housings. The developer housings themselves seem ok, with all gears rotating freely and not visible damage. So do the drums. I have refilled the developer housings, checked ATC sensor setup, calibrated developers, and this all went well. But the machine spits out copies without random color smears, and empties the developers right away. In attached image you can see the toner buildup on the drum after just a few prints.

I have checked ITB, developer and drum motors from component control, and they all seem to be functioning just fine. What could be the issue?

Usually this is a Dev bias issue. On this model, it's one board for all colours so I'd change the Developer HVPS

          Re: Altalink C8055 empties developers

I know I sound like a newbie here, but as mentioned I still have to get my hands on the edoc for this model. Where is the dev HVPS located? I know where it is in the 7855, but when I peak in the C8055 there is no board in this location. There is a small board attached to the bottom frame, is that it?

EDIT found it. Will post back on results.

This looks like the culprit then

I've replaced MCU-PF PWB, MDM PWB, and refilled the developers - again, on the booting the machine it just empties the complete contents of the developer housings within a few seconds. Please see attached pictures. This is so incredibly frustrating. So much time and developer down the drain. Should I give up on this machine? Would be such a shame.

Small bump as I still have this problem and really need to get it solved.

Called Xerox, they had a tech come by. He thought one of the drums was bad and causing a short, but this wasn't the case. He replaced both the HVPS as well as the developer HVPS and that solved it. Since I already tried a developer HVPS from a different machine the regular HVPS must have been te problem.
