thanks
it does show on the parts book as not spared
was hoping they came up with updates
heard about a retrofit
I believe there is a retrofit kit available for non tag 13 machines, But it does involve quite a bit of work and new front door to convert it over to tag 13.
I think it was designed to fix some of the micro-banding and impact banding issues encountered on the earlier models, but putting the machine into skip pitch mode is another option.
NVM Read/Write > 740 492 > enter 1 for enable or 0 for disable
So if I want to take the fly wheel off I enable it?
I would enable skip pitch if your running the machine and getting issues, yes. It will also fix the 2nd BTR streaking problems when running silk stocks.
Please note this will greatly reduce the running speed of the machine.
dont you think its better to upgrade the software and nvms with the new update
I was suggesting that if you need to remove the flywheel (because of broken components) it is a good idea to run the machine in Skip Pitch mode to slow down the machine to a safe operating speed and remove the micro-banding issue that you may encounter. Updating the software is separate from the NVM Read/Write, the NVM Read/Write is primarily for engineers to change the machine running settings or for making adjustments.
Usually a software update won't touch the NVM setting, but it is always recommended you make a backup to a USB drive first.
Sorry for the confusion.
