    C8170 scan issues after software update?

    Tech just called me. Said the machine was at 113.001.011.06011
    and it updated last night to 113.011.011.13310
    Customer says scan to email fails, cannot connect to SMTP server.
    Of course the customer says nothing changed on their end (yeah, never heard that before)
    I did find a patch file that was issued "if customer still uses SMB1 and has issues after a
    firmware update, but that should be the issue.

    Oh, one more question...when I look on GSN, I can find the update files, but do they have
    a readme or something that tells you what is in the update files?

    Xerox FW updates have been shitting all over SMTP lately. For info on the update files check TSIP. Way better info, and you can get SPAR releases that address weird issues.
