Altalink B80xx fault 362.310

I have two of these copiers (B8075 and B8045) that have this code 'scanner fault', power off/on. I reseated the ribbon cables, initialized the scanner, reloaded s/w (103.008.33...). One will work for a few hours and give the error, the other will last several minutes and show it. Any ideas? The main pwb is next?

What does the ribbon cable in the scanner look like? Those have been an issue for the 362-310 errors. If it has any visible creases in it, replace it.
